Excellent location in the middle of La Ramblas but unfortunately also extremenly noisy. The crowds party on until at least 3am every night and as well, Barcelona seems to have a lot of fireworks enthuisiasts. Continual sound of explosions go on all night! If the hotel could soundproof the rooms it would be an excellent place to stay.

This hotel wins hands down on location - right on Las Ramblas, within walking distance of the Barri Gotic and the Port. It is still in the process of refurbishment - they were painting the entrance hall while we were there. Otherwise a very pleasant stay. Excellent buffet breakfast including fresh pineapple and chocolate doughnuts! Staff were courteous and helpful and the room clean and a reasonable size for a centrally located hotel.

Best thing about this hotel is the location. Can be niosy due to refurbishment work and traffic. Spacious room. Reasonable breakfast.

I picked the place because it was well located, was old and supposed to have character. Sadly none of the wonderful old features were exploited to provide an experience to remember. The people in the hotel were pleasant, the food average, the bedrooms very ugly indeed nothing had any sense of charm or interest. Overall ok if you like bland, but I left feeling it was pretty expensive for a very uninspiring experience. Not one I would particularly recommend let alone bother to visit again. Shame!

The Check in service was unsatisfactory. The check in representative was rude and not very helpfull. Othertwise the rooms are clean spacious with safe's. The hotel is right on the ramblas so it can be very noisy til 7am

Fantastic location right in the middle of La Rambla. Hotel staff were discreet until required and more than helpful. The rooms facing the street can be very noisy with traffic and people doing La Rambla but it only really posed a problem when we went for a siesta before going out in the evening. Not a family hotel perhaps, but good nonetheless.

They were renewing the hotel with the normal inconveniences.such as interupting water supply. The woodan windowstructures are in such a bad shape that we could'nt close them. We still believe that after termination of the total building, this hotel will be ok.

Air conditioning not switched on, too early apparently. Temperature should dictate usage not date. Being charged 10.50€ for a HALF bottle of wine in the bar was somewhat exorbitant. A FULL bottle of the same wine can be purchased in a supermarket for around 4€. The waiter pointed out that this was the price for Tourists!! Otherwise, no complaints.
