A traditional hotel which unlike many others in this category does not look tired or unkept - very well positioned for walking to La Rambla and surrounding areas. The accommodation and service was very good.

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our stay. The hotel definitely met our standard, and on many counts -- location, professional and prompt staff -- exceeded it. We could walk to many of the highlights of Barcelona, or get onto a nearby bus or subway. I had trouble with the internet connection in the room, but this was eventually sorted following a phone call to the service provider. I am happy to recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the hotel over our 1st honey-moon night, at despite its luxurious abmience the service and attitude was not that magnific. Though i have no concrete claims or discontents.

A very good hotel in a great location: only two steps from smart Paseo de Gracia and Ramblas. Not everyone at front desk is polite, but we paid only 110euros per night, that is a very reasonable price for a four stars hotel in centre. Breakfast was not included. To park the car is quite expensive, but it is normal in downtown.

Hotel Avenida Palace has a great location. It is clean and has a great welcoming employee at the door. The bad part, ambience too formal like a decadent palace, not relaxing, the hotel has no parking, our room was too small and dark. But the worst was the personnel at reception, competent but not friendly at all. We changed hotels before our trip was over. I would think twice before coming back.

Very pleasant hotel in very excellent location. Convenient to Barri Gotic as well as Passeig de Gracia. Room was comfortable and quiet with a good sized bathroom for a European hotel.

The Hotel is situated in an ideal position for visitors to Barcelona, being between La Ramblas and the Exiample area. The room was average though, the window looked out onto an internal atrium and therefore the room was dark. The room was also quite small (they could have made more space if the bed wasn't so vast!) and had no tea/coffee making facilities. The public areas of the hotel looked fine, although we didn't use them.

The only complaint I have is that I had to waite 2 hours for our room to be made ready,we arrived at the hotel at 14.00hrs and it was 16.00hrs before we could use the room.
