An excellent hotel; comfortable and well-equipped rooms. Very close to metro which takes you to the city centre in 15 minutes on a cheap, clean and frequent service.

I think this Hotel is serves the business-purpose travellers. I've spent some nights there with my family, but this is not really a family accommodation. Good point: the Metro station is located just the next corner, it is very easy to reach any place of Barcelona. The Hotel is just beside a multi-laned main road, that is very beehive daytime. It is not a problem if you stay at the Hotel only overnights.

This was a nice place to stay. A bit far out of Barcelona but very close to the metro station for line 3 which can take you to the heart of the city very fast. The room was nice but there was some traffic noise from the busy road next to the hotel. Lovely breakfast as well.

The Alimara is a quiet hotel. It is sort of isolated from the city centre and therefore quite peaceful without the bustle or crowds of the city. The good thing is there is a Metro Station just next to the hotel which easily leads you to most attractions and the city centre. The rooms were adequate in size. The bathrooms were clean and had good showers. There was an electronic safe in the room which was very handy. The TV in the room only has news channels in English. There was no tea/coffee provided in the room. The breakfast buffet was a simple average continental spread. The staff at the hotel could generally understand simple English and we had no trouble or hassle with any of them. Overall we had a hassle free stay at the Alimara. We were always out and only used the hotel at the end of the night and for that purpose it served us well. I would easily stay there again.

I travelled to Barcelona with my boyfriend for a couple of days of relaxation and sightseeing. Alimara had been advertised as a convenient location for seeing the city, and with easy access to the Metro we found getting around very simple and unstressful. The staff at the hotel were very welcoming and the room was fine with a lovely bathroom. My only complaint would be the noise from the ring road was extremely loud and intrusive making it less than peaceful.

away from main strip, but the train is just a few steps away (end of the hotel block) and a quick train ride away. Not much around the hotel other then olmypic facilities, but still you're only a quick train away from the action. Hotel was huge compared to the small Italian hotels. bathroom was good as well.

I would advice you to choose this hotel to stay. Very nice and clean one, with comfortable location just next to metro station Mundet which is just 15-20 minutes from Placa Catalunya. Staff speaks good English. Especially I would note the restaurant they have, nice, quiet, good service and not so expensive. The breakfast is also good with a pretty variety of food.

The hotel was very good and the people were nice. The only problem with it was the location, but there is a train station right by it and it takes about 15 min to get to downtown, so it is not that bad. Recommended.

The hotel is good, staff is nice. The only problem is that the hotel is far from the center of Barcelona, but there is a metro line that stops just in front of the hotel. The surroundings of the hotel are quiet, but so quiet that there are not any restaurants! The hotel is ok, no problem with it.

The best in price/quality relation. Breakfast's a bit too expensive but employees informed us about. Room settled & cleaned also in the afternoon. No extra charge for booking taxis.
