We asked for a non-smoking room but this didn't seem to be possible. We were given keys to several smoking rooms to see if one was better than another, but the attitude was not particularly helpful although always pleasant.

Windows wouldn't open as all external window frames had been wedged with wood to help what looked like subsidence. Bedding, bathroom very clean but carpet could have done with a clean. Hotel looked as though suffering from subsidence, at the end of the hotel that we had been allocated. Breakfasts were excellent. Luckily the hotel wasn't full as our booking hadn't been recorded at hotel and receptionist had to check the hotel club website that we'd booked.

The room that was given me (and I actually went into the room) wasn't tidied yet. I arrived after 3.00 pm. I had to wait 20 min for them to clean it up

The hotel might have had a flood recently because there were stains on ceilings and carpets and the lift shaft, in particular, was very smelly. Very good location for the main museums. Rooms with canal view are noisy as there is a main road in between hotel and canal. Good breakfast.

The hotel is undergoing a re-furbishment at present so it wasn't really the best time to stay.

This was my first visit to Amsterdam and the location of the hotel was perfect. Very close to Canal Bus, trams and Snack Bars and Restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful and I will definitely be going back there next year.

The smallest single room I was ever given, lived, stayed either in hotel or in any other accomodation !

I was in a single room. The room was incredibly small and the bed very narrow. In the same way, in the bathroom there was no room to be properly.

Room 225 is an extremely small room lacking any cosiness. The price of 118 € per night is much too high. Thus, I cannot recommend the hotel to my friends.
