No restaurant and it was raining hard so got very wet to obtain dinner. Otherwise comfortable room in good location with charming, enthusiastic staff.

Great location, fairly chaep and clean.....BUT every room stunk of smoke and our room was very small. We had to ask for a shower curtain and the shower had so little power that I had to wash my hair in the sink! Wouldn't go back again!

This is a quiet and convenient Hotel. Good sized rooms and abundant hot water. There are no tea or cofee making facilitys in the room. The breakfast was well presented and plentiful, but the hot food could have been hotter and the plates warm. The staff were helpful and friendly and spoke good English. The hotel corradoors and bedrooms have a strong smell of tobaco smoke but I suspect all of Amsterdam hotels smell the same. I would stay in this hotel again and will recommed it to others.

This is a good place to stay if you want to be close to the Central Station area. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

A real gem of a hotel. Extremely clean and tidy. Rooms cleaned every day with fresh towels provided. Typical dutch breakfast but still OK for vegetarians. Ideally located to all the local sights. Highly recommended.

Lobby full of cigarette smoke -like all Ams.- impossible to get a meal without inhaling smoke.Room so small my husband had to duck under the TV to get to the bath. No heating in bathroom. Reception staff not well informed. Not a good experience.

The staff is very nice. The location is a little out of the centre, but it is easy to find. The relation quality/price ratio is optimal.

The hotel did not have my triple room ready when I arrive. They had forgotten to add the extra cot but the staff quickly brought the extra bed up and were very helpful providing local dircetions. The hotel is in a great location for walking around the city but I would not recommend families with young children to stay in this red light area.

The Hotel staff during the day were helpful getting me checked in etc. The first room I had was on the ground floor right next to the breakfast room, it was extremely noisy. I asked if I could move to the first floor which was arranged. When I got to the new room, less noise but no curtains, I found them in another part of the room and put them up myself. The bar sells the most expensive beer in Amsterdam, the price changed a couple of times and I was also short changed on more than one occasion. The night staff (they have to unlock the door to let you in) were always unfriendly, unhelpful and once quite aggressive. This is not the first time I have stayed in this hotel, but it is the last.

Well situated for arriving at Central Station. Very friendly staff. There is a lift to the other floors thus no steep staircase to climb. Room fairly basic with no tea/coffe making facility.Room/Toilet/shower room was very clean and the shower had good water power. Didn't eat there so can't comment on the food. Overall we had a pleasant stay at the Luxer Hotel.
