my (big) room although it was on the 1st floor, has a lot of noise from the hotel bar especially at the happy-hour. the location of the hotel is very good.

The main asset of this Hotel is the location, the Train station, Dam square and the red light district are all within walking distance. very clean and tidy, facilities are good, Breakfast amazing! the only drawback is that it could get a bit noisy (considering the live neighborhood) but the Hotel provides ear plugs ! All in all, very good price/value. definitely staying there again

Really loud outside at night, maybe a little to close to the red light district. The rooms and staff were very nice though and the breakfast was pretty good too. Definitley a good spot if you're going there to party but if your going there for other things you may want to stay somewhere else.

I did not experience any problem relating to the chimes of the clock unlike some of the other reviews. I believe my room was sufficiently sound proofed to make the sound not a bother.

A great stay in a good hotel superbly located in the centre of Amsterdam. I was forwarned about the bells in the nearby church going off all day and night. I'm a heavy sleeper and they didn't bother me at all but if you're a light sleeper they may get a bit annoying. That's the only thing I can say against it really! Would definitely stay there again.

The location was good, its just that the windows were not at all sound proof and the bells from the local church kept going off and what began as a nice thing to hear, the bells soon became very annoying. Sunday morning when you're trying to get a bit of sleep especially.sound proof your windows!!

No aircoditioning in standard rooms, the lift does not go to the top floor and the hotel is expensive for what you get.

WE ASKED FOR A ROOM WITH THREE SINGLE BEDS BUT UNFORTUNATELY WERE GIVEN A DOUBLE BED AND ONE SINGLE WHICH WAS NOT IDEAL IT WAS A BIT NOISY AT NIGHT AS WELL AS OUR ROOM WAS AT THE BACK OF THE HOTEL
