After spending time ascertaining which hotel in Amsterdam was the best value for money, we were very happy with what we found on arrival. The central location was exactly what we wanted, as we only had a few days in Amsterdam and enjoyed walking to various attractions. Also, it was in close proximity to walk to and from central station, with a train directly linked to the airport. Our room was clean. cosy and had all the amenities we required.

Very helpful staff, room staff always friendly and obliging, excellent position for all Amsterdam sightseeing and shopping, will definitely book with Golden Tulip again.

Hotel location was great as was the breakfast. Staff were courteous and friendly. Rooms whilst small, were adequate for two people. Would have expected to have a gym within the hotel for residents use. Not the cheapest hotel available but would stay here again.

We stayed at the Tulip for 4 nights between 12-Mar - 16-Mar. We had a triple room which was ok enough, but nothing special. Breakfast was alright and there was free wi-fi in the room. The location is really central just around the corner from the Dam Square. We went to see the NH Krasnapolsky (directly at the Dam Square) as well because it was one of our alternatives. The Krasnapolsky seemed like a nice hotel, big lobby etc. It'd cost just 60€ more for the whole stay than the Tulip so next time when in A'dam I'm gonna stay at the Krasnapolsky. Still I recommend the Tulip cause there was absolutely nothing wrong with it!

An excellent place to stay right in the middle of the central area. Five minutes walk from central station, surrounded by nice bars, nightlife and plenty of shops and place to eat. All exhibits, museums, etc are only a short walk from here but there are plenty of trams, taxis, horse-drawns, etc to take you anywhere quicker. A very nice hotel. Worth staying there for the fireplace in the bar alone.

We were very pleased with our choice of hotel in Amsterdam. The hotel staff were very freindly and helpful and even gave us a free upgrade in room since there were no non smoking rooms left. The breakfasts were excellent with both continental and cooked on offer in buffet form. The rooms were to a very high standard and we definately got value for money with this website. We would definately use this hotel and this website again.

A party of 8 in 4 twin rooms for 3 nights and no complaints only praise for the Hotel. Staff even enquired if the cleaning service was good enough. Excellent location in the centre of Amsterdam with loads of bars and resturants close by.

Nice place, great small touches for travellers such as place in bath to place items above toilet and place to stow suitcases out of the way. The view was bad from the room but overall a great place. We paid more for another hotel first part of the trip and it was horrible compared to the Golden Tulip. Location was close to train station. Don't hesitate to book here.

The overall standards of this Hotel was excellent although the bar prices were very expensive (eg Gin & Tonic & 1 Small beer 11 euro). The staff were very helpful and the breakfast provided was more that adequate. The hotel helped in making our visit to Amsterdam very enjoyable.
