I have stayed at the Avenue several times and keep coming back, mainly because of the very central location. I have no complaints at all, but in a more expensive and more modern hotel I would expect a bigger room

rooms too small. pay to waych telelvision didnt work in the room i was in. 207. bar doesnt stay open late enough. closes at twelve midnight. i was there with my girlfriend on the august bank holiday weekend 2007.

A basic hotel right in the heart of the centre. Clean and comfortable beds. Very noisy tho, had I not bought ear plugs I wouldn't have slept at all!

Very nice hotel which lies 5 minutes from the Central Station. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from one of the main shopping streets, museums, dam square and café's. It's a cozy hotel. Looks small from the outside but it is not very small once you get inside. The room (twin) was not very big, but it's enough if your there for a weekend or a few days. Bathroom was nice and clean. You can have a bath or shower. TV in the room with different english programs + other languages. incl. dutch. Staff is friendly. Breakfast was good. It's a buffé. You can choose between egg, bacon, different types of bread and my favorite: small pankakes. Different cold and warm drinks. I'm very happy with the hotel and i can recommend it to people who are looking for a hotel which lies in the middle of everything without being too noisy or chaotic. Enjoy your stay!

Excellent location near to station. Breakfast is excellent setting you up for all day. Although there is no Restaurant for an evening meal, the sister hotel Belle Vue (nearby) does have a first class Brasserie where you can get 10per cent discount and although it is more expensive than other eateries in the area, it is well worth a visit.

We had a brilliant stay here! It was clean, tidy, and the staff were very helpful. The breakfast here is really amazing - you get everything you could want! The location of the hotel is great - very close to central station and is easily within walking distance of all the sights, as well as being in a nice part of central Amsterdam. We got a great rate from this site and would all definitely stay here again.

Very small single rooms but clean and with basic facilities. Staff helpful. Location very central. Try to get rooms at the back or side of the hotel as its noisy at the front because the trams run outside the hotel from 6 a.m until late. Small bar open until midnight. Breakfast buffet style and plenty of it.

The hotel was close to Central Station and the main street of Amsterdam. The breakfast was excellent and the room was comfortable.
