Room was very basic and small, sleeper couch uncomfortable. booked room for 2 adults and 2 kids expected double bed and 2 singles. we were somewhat disapointed only 2 single beds and a sleeper couch.

The rooms are VERY VERY SMALL. The owner basically took a normal room and made 3 rooms out of it. The showers are old and dirty. The water runs very slow and you get either freezing or boiling water. When we arrived, the staff told us that we have no reservation and almost kicked us to the street, although our credit card was already charged.

the room was small but comfortable and the ensuite was a good size and both were cleaned daily, the staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The aalborg is a perfect place to stay on a short break in amsterdam but sus the tram system out when you first get to central station to save wearing your feet out as if you get lost you can walk miles out of your way. catch a #25 to the hotel and a #25, #3 or #4 from the hotel to city centre. we would use this hotel again.

Nice hotel but single room is a bit small and had problems opening a suitcase. A bit far from Dam square, 15 min. by tram but that is ok. It is at night that you have to catch the last tram that is at 12:15am. If you miss it, it costs Euro 20.- by taxi.

Nice Hotel Great room (Quad) and very clean. Staff very friendy and helpfull. We had a great stay and time in Amsterdam Tram stop only 2 minitus from the hotel.

Nice hotel, though as we were on the ground floor, the door to the stairs was banging everytime someone went upstairs.nice bathroom (shower only)and an excellant breakfast.Good value for the price.Tram stop is just up the road a bit so no problem getting around.

Basic accommodation but great value for money. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Good location by Albert Cruyp market and about 10 minutes to Dam Square by No. 25 tram (which stops 50 yards from the hotel). If travelling in large groups (there was 8 of us) I would recommend booking a taxi to and from airport for approx 42 Euros.

The hotel is staffed by young people with good english who are keen to help your stay in Amsterdam. The hotel is based around two Amsterdam houses on four floors and as such the rooms are small and the staircases are steep but there is a lift. Access to the city centre by trams outside is good but there are excellent food drink and shopping facilities within easy walking distance. There was however no record of our booking when we arrived. The receptionist kept us reassured and rapidly sorted out our room. Full marks to him for customer service.

All staff are friendly and helpful. A substantial self-service breakfast is included in the price. Some of the rooms have been recently renovated and are nice but small. The other rooms appear to be shabby so take care which room you get when you book.

I had a single room and it was very small. No tourist information or hotel facility information in my room at all. Opposite a lovely park though with lots of snow! Easy to get to from the central station by tram number 25.

I would not recommend this hotel. It is old and very basic and unlike most Dutch people the staff were unfriendly and unhelpful.
