Had to wait a number of hours to check into rooms. Then after receiving one room waited for another few hours for luggage to be delivered. We belive the hotel may have been short staffed on the day.

Room service was late. At breakfast they forgot our order. On checkout they billed us for the room again and charged us more second time around. Also over charged for Internet. Located a bit far from town.

A great place to stay. A good walk into town. The hotel is getting a bit tired looking for a Crowne Plaza but I dare say there will be refurbishments in the future.

Not ideal for business traveller wanting to access Internet from room. Had to obtain telephone extension cable from staff in order to use laptop for Internet connection, and then desk space was minimal. Pricing for Internet use in Business Centre very high; some hotels I stay in have free internet access in this type of Centre, including Crown Plaza in Port Moresby.

The staff at Rydges, Alice Springs bent over backwards to try to fix all the mistakes that your company has made. My stay there was an interesting yet enjoyable experiance made only better by the excellent facilities and happy staff. 10 out of 10 for Rydges, 1 out of 10 for hotel club.

Food not up to standard. With a very large conference - did'nt seem aware free time available to delegates, hence understaffed day all at the poolside. Day of arrival had cleaners enter our room 3 times, without knocking, to service the room. All staff very friendly, helpful & stay was enjoyed. Everywhere we went in Alice Springs staff in shops etc. were very nice, relaxed and most helpful. Best experience was the restaurant Purple Shades of Mary - the food, service and ambience, excellent.

This was an enjoyable hotel with a large number of amenities. It has a swimming pool, tennis court, exercise equipment with sauna, 2 restaurants. There are also safety provisions for those with small children--doorways leading outside which could allow access to the pool are are only able to be opened by pressing a button at a height that can be reached by older children or adults. The hotel is adjacent to the golf course and next to the casino. My room (and I think all) had a patio. The facility is stylistic. The location is at the edge of the city so it requires either a 15 minute walk or cab ride for those wanting to explore Alice Springs. Also, one of the cushions on the sofa in my room show distinct signs of wear. Other than that, this was a very good and acceptable choice.
