It's a steep walk up a long flight of stairs to Radiceva from Tkalciceva and a few minutes more up another steep cobblestone path to Kamenita Vrata, which was one of four entrances to the walled city of Gradec. Kamenita Vrata is the only gate that survived a 1731 fire, which destroyed almost everything wooden in its path. Just inside the gate a small, dark area houses the Chapel of God's Mother where a painting of the Virgin and Child is ensconced in an alcove behind a baroque grid. According to legend, the painting incredibly survived the fire and it is revered as a miraculous sign. There are a few pews in the dark chapel, where people come to light candles and pray all through the day.
